It’s 7.30AM, the Kingston gate at Richmond Park has just opened, the weather forecast had said mist & fog the day before but looking at the scene in front of me I didn’t quite see how. As I got deeper into the park the mist got thicker, and thicker, suddenly it didn’t feel like it was going to be a waste of time after all. Sunrise started at 7.29AM, it was about 7.40AM by the time I got out of the car and made my way to where the Deer were so I didn’t waste any time. The sunrise was beautiful.

While I was stalking the indigenous species I took some time to shoot some of the scenery too, the reflection of the sun in the water was mesmerising, as were the golden colours glowing through the trees.

There’s nothing nicer than watching the sun rise and hunting around for good places to take photos of the wildlife.
